The crypto board merry-go-round continues to turn. The most recent in a spate of C-suite takeoffs in the area comes from the nonfungible symbolic commercial centre OpenSea. Again where Brian Roberts has left the job of CFO after under a year in the workplace.

Roberts announced in a LinkedIn post that he would serve as an advisor to OpenSea after spending seven years at ride-sharing company Lyft Inc. He joined the NFT platform in December. Roberts wrote in the essay, “I remain tremendously enthusiastic on web3 and especially OpenSea. A decentralised internet centred on blockchains is the goal of Web3. Since its high in November 2021, the value of digital assets has fallen by $2 trillion due to tightened monetary policy and collapses at cryptocurrency companies. Trading volumes for other valuables listed on blockchains, such as digital art created by NFTs, have also decreased. Thus, in July, OpenSea announced significant employment layoffs.

Senior management is also being affected by the cryptocurrency sector’s upheaval. For instance, Celsius Network LLC’s co-founders recently resigned after the company filed for bankruptcy. Additionally, the CEO of Kraken, a digital asset exchange, resigned.
